I had so much fun at the design team crop last night. Even though I was tired, I do wish that I could've stayed until midnight.
As much fun as it is to get away from it all, and as much as I need to do it once in awhile, my house sure does suffer in my absence.
Bless my hubby for vacuuming the floor and minding the kids, but I think I'm gonna really have to teach him how to empty the garbage can. Especially when it is overflowing onto the the floor and by morning time I have to open AND fill a whole new garbage bag with all the crap on the floor. I think he must've forgotton how to do it. I'm sure that's what happened.
I can't believe that my baby girl is going to be a year old in just a few short weeks. It makes me so sad.
I can't believe that Gavin will be FOUR in July. Where did my baby boy go? One minute he was this tiny, little baby, and now he is this "big boy" preschooler who only likes to blow his momma kisses and not give them on the lips unless momma begs and begs. I hope he knows just how much his momma loves him so.
I really wish that I had more time in the day for all the things I would like to do. Housework, reading, napping, scrapping, playing with the kids, spending alone time with the hubby. My days just all seem to run together and at the end of the day, I feel like I didn't get a chance to do all the fun mommy stuff that I wanted to do.
Maybe I should take one day a week and just spend it doing nothing but being silly and having fun with my family. No housework, nothing. Just sillyness. I think my frame of mind just might like that.
I am still OBSESSED with Twilight. Ahh, Edward. Why can't you be real? Not that I don't love my hubby with a passion, but Edward, you are just so beautiful you make me want to cry. I know, he's a fictional character. But trust me, if you have read the book you would understand the beauty of Edward Cullen.
I rediscoverd today what an awesome guy my hubby really is. After taking Gavin to the playland in Carls Jr. (for the first time), Erin climbed up the play equipment to summon our little tyke down. That was priceless.
I'm tired. It seems like I'm always tired. I guess its understandable when I have a 11 month old who doesn't want to sleep all through the night anymore. At least Erin has started getting up with her, too. It's still tiring though, especially when last night I got up with her at least 2 times and Erin got up 3 times. Someday I will catch up on all my sleep. Not sure when, but someday I will. :)

What I've been doing...

Just wanted to share some projects that I've been working on lately. And, yes, the cupcake is a gift card holder. I found the directions at fabulouslyartsy.blogspot.com
and I plan on teaching it as class at the Craft Garden next month!!

Catching up
I've been sick now for over a week. This flu/cold whatever it is has really kicked my butt! All I've been wanting to do is sleep, and when you have 2 kids under the age of 4 that is quite an impossible feat. Lucky for me, I do have an awesome hubby who, on his week off, made sure that I was able to get plenty of rest. I do love my man. :)
So now that I am starting to feel better, I figured I should update my blog. Not really too much to update, though.
Mother's Day was not a very good day for me this year. That was the day my cold decided to be really hard on me, so while I did get to relax all day, it was only because I couldn't get my body to do much of anything else.
Yesterday was Gavin's last day of preschool for the school year. He will be going to summer school for 6 weeks starting in June. That will be three days a week and I do believe that he will have all of the same classmates. I think that is really awesome and I am starting to realize that he does like some kids in his class a bit more than the others...I didn't think 3 year olds had friend preferences...I guess I was wrong. :)
Bekah is in her last month before she hits the big O-N-E. Where did my baby go? She has been doing some of the cutest things lately. Too many too list right now, so I will post a blog all about her later.
Like I said, not too much to update, I've been busy just being sick.
Just wanted to let you all know that I am still here. :)

Handy Man(ny)
About a month or 2 ago, my mom showed me a cool bed for Gavin on Bailey's Furniture's website.
I showed Gavin, and of course he really wanted it. So we talked to Daddy. I was really surprised when Erin said that he could build him one. With the slide, too! Now, I was a bit skeptical, I will admit, but after I saw the result...WOW!! I have my very own Handy Manny in the house! :)

Gavin absolutely loves his bed, I mean how could he not? It has a slide!! I told Erin that since he made such an awesome bed for Gavin, I have a few projects for him now...hmmm, maybe he's thinking that building the bed wasn't such a good idea after all!!

El Tigre and the Fantastic Four (according to Gavin) plus one
Lately, Gavin has been infatuated with El Tigre. El Tigre is a cartoon on Nickelodeon that we let him watch--occasionally. We only let him watch it occasionally because it seems like it brings out the wild side in him. Let me explain about El Tigre...he is a boy who has a wrestling family and his alter ego is a wrestler (a tiger). So when he "transforms" he puts claws out and says "EL TIGRE!!".
Gavin has this down to a tee. Unfortunately its awfully annoying since he only does it when he is in trouble and doesn't want to listen to what we have to say.
Another "transformation" Gavin goes through is Spiderman. This one I can tolerate a bit more than El Tigre. He uses this transformation for just about anything. Is there a ghost in the house? Call Spiderman! He'll shoot webs and make the ghost go away! Time to rough-house with Daddy? Spiderman can kick his butt! In trouble with the parents? No problem for Spiderman!
Caring child that he is, Gavin hasn't forgotten that maybe we all want alter egos, too. Let me introduce the Fantastic Four...
drumroll please...
Gavin is, of course, Spiderman
Daddy is Wolverine
Mommy is "Spiderman Girl" (thats what Gavin calls her) and wait...mommy is special so she has TWO alter egos...Emma Frost (X Men)
Bekah J is...The Human Torch. Umm, okay.
And lets not forget Grandma...she gets to be The Thing. *giggle*, *snort*
Love the imagination this kiddo has...don't even get him started on Ben 10. He'll do ALL the transformations, which ever one is suitable for the moment!!

A couple of layouts and a mini album
Such a creative title for my latest blog, I know. :)
Just wanted to share a few of my latest projects since I haven't been in the blogging mood lately. I have plenty to blog about but I've just been so tired the past few weeks. I'm really hoping I can snap out of it soon!
